Toad You So

This picture published in today's Straits Times caught my eye. They are part of thousands of cane toads caught by residents of Cairns, Australia in the "Toad Day Out" programme and are awaiting euthanasia by freezing yesterday. Gleeful Australians gathered for a celebratory mass killing of the hated amphibians, with many of the carcasses being turned into fertiliser for the very farmers they had plagued for years.
