Proverbs 3:5-6 Living And Resting In His Grace

"Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

Do what you ought to do, but do it trusting in the Lord’s favor, not in your smarts or careful planning. Whatever you need to do today, do it with an inward rest, without worrying or fretting, knowing that He loves you, is in charge and is for you.

Ruth 3:18 – God works miracles when we rest in His Goodness

Ruth 3:18
Then said she, "Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will fall: for the man will not rest, until he has finished the thing this day."

When we "sit still", God works.
When we work (strive via our own / self efforts, God sits still.
Work out of rest, don't work out of stress!

Give our Lord Jesus all the praise :)

Psalms 91 - Safety in the Presence of God

Psalms 91:9-11
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.

Jesus has redeemed me with His blood when he died on the cross for all my sins. Once I have been covered with the blood of Jesus, God declares, “Protected! Redeemed!” And the devil flees when he sees the blood. And when he flees, he takes with him sicknesses, diseases, pains, sufferings, destruction and loss. In the name of Jesus, I command blessings, favor, health, prosperity, protection, dominion and power to fill my life and that of my loved ones!

We cannot be there to protect our children all the time from harm and danger but there is ONE who can :) my living God, the Lord of my life and wonderful Savior JESUS - only He can. Amen!

Romans 6:14 – Sin shall not have dominion over you

"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace." Romans 6:14

We all know that we sin from time to time. But the good news is that all our sins have already been dealt with at the cross. They have been washed away by Jesus’ blood. Now, when we come into God’s presence, He sees us without our sins. Our sins and lawless deeds God remembers no more (Hebrews 8:12).

So beloved, forget your past failures. Believe that God remembers your sins no more and be the righteous man that you already are in Christ!

Deuteronomy 28:12,13 – Jesus is the source for all my blessings

Deuteronomy 28:12,13
The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

Jesus fulfilled all God's commandments (Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I didn't come to destroy them, but to fulfill them") when he died on the cross on my behalf (John 19:30 "It is FINISHED!"). Now the Lord Jesus is the source of my blessings, Jesus is my treasure and Jesus is the one who prospers me with health, wealth and wholeness!

Give our Lord Jesus all the praise!

Matthew 6:25–33 Don't Worry, God Provides

Matthew 6:25–30
"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you,"

Jesus does not want us to worry about what we will eat or drink, or about our body and what we will put on our back. He tells us not to worry about our daily provisions because God, who is our heavenly Father, knows that we need all these things and He wants to add these things to us. (Matthew 6:32-33)

So don't worry, be happy!

Give our Lord Jesus all the praise :)

Matthew 27:46 – Jesus Took Your Place So That You Can Take His

Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

Do you know that it was at the cross that Jesus addressed His Father as “God” for the first time? He had always addressed His Father as “Father”. But at Calvary’s tree, He addressed His Father as “God”.

Jesus lost that Father-Son relationship when He was representing you and carrying your sins at the cross so that today, you can call God “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:15) and have a loving father-son relationship with God forever. Jesus was forsaken by God and His world became very dark on that lonely hill so that in your darkest hour, God will always say to you, “I will never leave you nor forsake you!” (Hebrews 13:5)

At the time when Jesus needed God most, God turned His back on Him. God had to turn His back on His Son because His eyes are too holy to behold all the sin that was in His Son’s body. And because God turned His back on Jesus, He will never turn His back on you. Instead, you will see God’s face of favor shining on you all the time!

Jesus also took your place of no protection at the cross. For the first time, He gave up divine protection so that you can have it every day of your life! And because He became sin, He took your curse at the cross so that today, as you take His gift of righteousness, you receive only blessings from God.

Jesus received the full brunt of God's wrath in His body once and for all when He carried your sins. All of God's anger and condemnation fell on Him, consuming all your sins until God’s wrath was exhausted.

Today, God is not angry with you. The body of Jesus absorbed everything - your sins, curses, and God's anger and condemnation. So live life expecting to see not the judgment, but the goodness and blessings of God!

Psalm 139:14 – You Are God’s Masterpiece

"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well." Psalm 139:14

The Bible says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, a marvelous work of God.

Don’t base your self-worth and ability to succeed on your looks or people’s negative comments. Begin to see your true self and worth in the mirror of His Word, and praise Him for it daily. It will cause you to treat your body well and give you such an inner beauty and strength that people can’t help but want to treat you favorably!

John 14:27 – Peace that the world cannot give

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The Hebrew word for peace is “shalom.” And while the word “shalom” includes peace for your mind, it means so much more! It means wholeness for your entire being — spirit, soul and body. It means a sense of completeness and soundness, and encompasses your health and total well-being.

Jesus gives us "shalom-peace" so that our lives can be free from regrets, anxieties and worries! We are healthy, vibrant, energetic and strong!

Proverbs 4:23 - Guard your heart above all else

Proverbs 4:23
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

Guard what comes through your ear and eye gates! If all the bad news on television or the Internet is causing you to despair, turn your attention to something else that’s edifying and God-glorifying. If the people you hang out with are speaking fear, doubt and cynicism into you, hang out with kingdom friends instead who are faith-filled. Just as fear is contagious, so is faith!

Beloved, store up good treasures from the Lord in your heart and you will bring forth good success! (source: Pastor Joseph Prince's meditate for success)

John 10:10 – Jesus came to give us abundant LIFE

JESUS is my SAVIOR
NOT my religion

Religion is all about “I” and “doing”.
What I must do. What I can offer.

Jesus (Grace) is about Him.
His love. His goodness. His favor.
No more doing. Just receiving.

John 10:10
Jesus said,”I have come that they may have life,
and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Give our Lord Jesus all the praise!

2 Samuel 9:7 – Grace and Favor for us all :)

2 Samuel 9:7
David said to him, "Do not fear, for I will surely show kindness (”hesed” in Hebrew which means "grace") to you for the sake of your father Jonathan, and will restore to you all the land of your grandfather Saul; and you shall eat at my table regularly."

Our heavenly Father (typified by David) will SURELY (absolutely without a doubt) show us GRACE (FAVOR) because of the convenant He entered with Jesus (Jonathan) so that we, His children will prosper and enjoy His goodness.

Give our Lord Jesus all the praise :)

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Proverbs 4:22
God’s word is life to those who find them and health to all their body.

The Impossible is Nothing to JESUS!

He turned water into wine, He healed the sick,
He made the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk
He raised the dead, He fed 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish
He walked on water and He gave His life to save mine
Give our Lord JESUS all the praise and glory He truly deserves!

2 Corinthians 8:9 – Expect divine provision in your life

2 Corinthians 8:9
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

In Him, you are poor no more. So stop looking at the lack in your natural resources. Look to the cross and say, “Because of Jesus’ finished work, I can expect to walk in all of His blessings!” Expect divine provision in your life because you are already blessed in Christ. John 1:1 – Believe Him at His Word!

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 4:50
Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.”
So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.

The man had asked Jesus to go to his house to heal his dying child (John 4:49) but Jesus just gave him His Word. The man believed and his son was healed that very hour (John 4:53) even though the man would only find that out upon reaching home a day later (John 4:52).

We only have to believe Jesus at His Word for He is the Word (John 1:1)

And Jesus says to me: I am healed, I am whole, I am blessed! I now have His Grace which is undeserved, unearned and unmerited favor because of His finished work at the cross. I am truly His beloved – highly favored, greatly blessed and deeply loved.

Give our Lord Jesus all the praise!

John 4:14
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.

Psalm 34:1-3

His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make its boast in the Lord;
The humble shall hear of it and be glad.

Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.

Matthew 9:22 – When you see God in His GRACE, He sees you in your faith

Matthew 9:22
And Jesus having turned about, and having seen her, said, 'Be of good courage, daughter, thy faith hath saved thee,' and the woman was saved from that hour.

The woman with the issue of blood didn’t go around saying, “I must have faith... I hope that I have enough faith... I will have faith... I will not lose faith.” No, she was only conscious of the grace of Jesus — how He always healed the sick, how powerful He was in raising the dead and how willing He was to use that power for her healing.
She just saw His grace abounding toward her, so much so that she said, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.”

When the woman saw JESUS in His grace, God saw her faith! And so it was by grace, through faith, that God’s promise became sure in her life.

Ephesians 2:8,9
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, lest any man should boast.

God wants you to see His grace. And when you see His grace (JESUS), He sees your faith. God says, “For by grace are you saved through faith.” The Greek word for “saved”, sozo, doesn’t just mean to save from hell, but also to heal, preserve and make whole. So it is by grace that you are made whole, kept healthy, preserved and blessed. It is by grace through faith that God’s promises become sure in your life. Mark 5:28-29 First Believe Then Receive Your Miracle

Mark 5:28-29
For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

God says, “If you believe it before you feel it or see it, you will see your miracle.” Faith is like a spark and Jesus is the dynamite powder. God wants you to believe in His goodness and love toward you. He wants you to know how willing He is to act on your behalf to bless you, and how, with Christ, He will freely give you every good thing (Romans 8:32). He wants you to declare by faith that all is and shall be well with you, and to expect to see just that. [Source: Pastor Joseph Prince daily devotional]

John 2:1-11 JESUS turns water into wine

Under the Old Covenant (LAW) Moses turned water into blood (Exodus 7:20). The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt. (Exodus 7:21)

Under the New Covenant (GRACE) JESUS turned water into wine (John 2:1-11) and there was much rejoicing and celebration. JESUS has already fulfilled all of GOD's conditions on our behalf. And because His obedience is perfect and His work is perfectly finished, the covenant blessings for us are guaranteed!

There is nothing left to do so don’t try to work for your covenant blessings. Rest in JESUS’ finished work and receive the covenant blessings by faith! Give our Lord JESUS all the praise :)

Matthew 27:29,30 – Jesus wore the crown of thorns for us

Matthew 27:29,30
When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head.

Mark 15:17-19
And they clothed Him with purple; and they twisted a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and began to salute Him, “Hail, King of the Jews!” Then they struck Him on the head with a reed and spat on Him; and bowing the knee, they worshiped Him.

John 19:2,3
And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and gave Him slaps in the face.

Jesus wore the crown of thorns on His head so that you can have a sound mind free from fears, guilt, depression, anxieties and stress. God gave up His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. Jesus was pierced in seven places for you - in His head by the crown of thorns, His two hands and feet by the nails, and His side and heart by the spear of a Roman soldier.

If God did not spare His Son, but delivered Him up for you, how will He not with Him also freely give you all things! (Romans 8:32)

Isaiah 53:5 – By Jesus’ Stripes You Are Healed!

Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Today, healing is your right because Jesus has paid the price for your healing. Every curse of sickness that was supposed to fall on you fell on Jesus instead. He bore every one of those stripes, so that you can walk in divine health all the days of your life.

John 20:19 – 20 "Peace be with you"

John 20:19–20
... Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side...

After Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion, His disciples hid in the Upper Room, confused and terrified of what their Jewish brethren might do to them. Knowing exactly why they were there, and understanding their fears, the risen Lord appeared in their midst, and immediately said, “Peace, be with you.” Then, He did something significant – He “showed them His hands and His side.”

My friend, His pierced hands and side speak of His finished work. Jesus was telling His disciples that He had paid the price for their sins, that they needn’t be afraid of what was happening any more, and that they could come boldly to God in their time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Perhaps there are fears swirling in your mind today. Maybe it’s the thought of losing your job, or maybe it’s an alarming symptom in your body. Beloved, focusing on your problems won’t help you. Center your thoughts, instead, on the person of Jesus and all that He has accomplished for you at Calvary. When you keep your eyes on Jesus, His grace and His finished work, His peace will guard your heart and mind, and lead you to experience the victory He has already purchased for you.

Romans 4:5 – Righteousness by faith and not works

Romans 4:5
"But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,"

Jesus Christ took our sins and gave us His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21), the moment we believe in Him, God treats us as righteous apart from our works or obedience. (Romans 4:5–8) This is new covenant righteousness — a righteousness that comes by faith and not works.

You are not righteous because of how morally upright you are. You are not righteous because you exercise self-control. You are not righteous because you read 10 chapters of the Bible daily. You are not righteous because you feel righteous. But you are the very righteousness of God in Christ solely because the sacrifice of Jesus made you so. When you believe this, your faith is accounted for righteousness.

Luke 23:35 – Jesus did not come to save Himself

Luke 23:35
And the people stood looking on.
But even the rulers with them sneered, saying,
“He saved others; let Him save Himself
if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”

JESUS did not come to save Himself.
He came to save us and to do that,
He had to die on the cross for all our sins.
He rose from the dead as evidence to show
us that our sins have indeed been forgiven.
Give JESUS all the praise!

John 14:27 Be Guided by PEACE

John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Do the first thing that makes you peaceful. If it means not buying that big house and going for a smaller, more affordable one, do it. If it means letting go of an abusive relationship, do it. It may seem like you are losing out, but trust me, when you follow wisdom’s paths of peace, they will ultimately lead you to wholeness and life.

Proverbs 3:17
"Her [wisdom] ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace."

God, who has infinite wisdom, leads you by His peace. He knows what’s best for you and wants what’s best for you!

You matter to GOD! He cares for you :)

From Pastor Joseph Prince's daily devotional:

John 10:3
... he calls his own sheep by name...

Do you sometimes feel like you are just a face in a crowd or a number in a system? GOD knows exactly what you are going through and where you are hurting. He sees you and cares for you, just as He cared for the people when He first walked on earth. He calls you by name.
